Spoilers - The Remaining Hordes: Exigence Models

After many months of waiting the newest Hordes book has finally arrived. Well, not quite arrived. As is often the case, someone managed to get a sneak peak at Hordes: Exigence and there are spoilers floating around for the few unknown entries for each faction.

Lets take a look at the (reported) rules for these holdouts and see how each faction fared overall in the latest Hordes expansion. Allegedly.

A quick note about spoilers you may read here (in this post or otherwise): I don't have any inside line on model info. I'm just collecting what others report. As such, everything needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Even in the case of a book release (which usually has spoilers coming straight from someone staring at the entries) things get mis-reported and left out. Don't take anything as "final" until you see it in a book, No Quarter, or War Room yourself.

That said, I try to avoid the early rush of conjecture. If I post something up, it will (hopefully) be after it's been reported by more than one source. So while the spoilers you read here (or elsewhere) may not be 100% accurate, there's a good chance they're 80-90% accurate. Which is enough to start to get excited/sad/bitter/jealous about it and start theorymachineing, and isn't that what we're all really after?

Since this is an anthology release (i.e. the yearly book of new models) I'll be cataloging everything for each faction, including models that are already well known. If it's in the "previously known" section that means the model was spoiled/released awhile ago and you can find the rules in War Room (if not in other locations such as No Quarter.) This should give a better view of what the sum of each faction's releases looked like as a whole.

Also, since the spoilers are still rolling in/being clarified I'll probably update this post as I find new info. So if something changes that's why.

With all that out of the way, lets get down to it!

Final Edit: Hordes: Exigence has been released, so you can now find the actual rules for these models in the book, or in War Room. I'm leaving this here for posterity, but anyone who wants hard and fast rules can now go find them, so I'd recommend doing that instead of reading now-outdated conjecture. It is interesting to note how close a lot of these spoilers turned out to be.

Warbeast Pack Rules: (taken directly from here)
- they are a unit, but each model is a warbeast and not a warrior model- they have unit leaders- must get run/charge order or be compelled to run/charge- fury = number of models in play- increasing or decreasing fury effects never affect them- models forced independently, fury points generated on the leader- only forced while in formation while unit leader is in control area, other beasts do NOT need to be in control area- never have more fury than number of beasts- can't make power attacks- if unit commander frenzies they all frenzy, can't choose another model in pack as frenzy target- only leader has animus- can xfer damage to models in control as normal except if pack leaders fury stat is full

And that's about all of Exigence! There are also theme lists for the new warlocks, but the details for those are all over the place, so I'm refraining from trying to type them up.

Spoilers are always fun, though in this case they're going to be rendered moot very quickly: the actual book comes out on 10/8/14, and I'm sure War Room will be updated to have everything soon after, so enjoy these spoilers for the 4 or so days that they're relevant!

I'll probably do a quick thoughts post on how each faction made out this release cycle, for funsies.
